Veterinary Office

\"\"

Drs. Harry Heddens and Duane Drum put up this building at the north end of main street to fulfil the needs of their veterinarian practice. The contractor, George Blythe, had the 56 x 24 foot building ready for occupancy in July 1959. Several Wellsburg area businesses assisted in the completion of the building: Potgeter and Lindaman lumber yards, building materials; Charles Kitzman, wiring and lighting; Iowa Radiant Electric Heat, heating; Beving Hardware, plumbing; Doyen Furniture, floor tile; Dimke and Huisman, interior plaster.

Dr. Ben Gavin succeeded Dr. Drum in January 1967.
Phone 100 was answered day and night.
This building still stands but is no longer used.
